Architecture as Pedagogy is a pedagogical-research project by Ali Javid to identify, draw and define pedagogies which emerged during socio-political changes, and expanded the boundaries of architecture discipline.

Toward Regenerative Sectional Thinking: My Drawing Collections

To Paul Rudolph,

This collection of sectional drawings is inspired by my deep admiration for the work of Paul Rudolph. Early in my architectural studies, Rudolph emerged as a key influence, profoundly shaping my understanding of architecture and spatial design through his exceptional section drawings. He transformed the architectural section into more than just a representational tool—it became a canvas for design exploration, material experimentation, and spatial innovation. This philosophy has deeply informed my own work, where I strive to view the section as a medium for creativity and imagination, pushing the boundaries of design thinking.
